N54: Fun but challenging day at the track, broke my front drivetrain?

Wanted to take advantage of an open track before it gets hot so I went to Sacramento today. First trip since the GC Lites went on.

A few issues, the first being that a manual transmission AWD BMW isn't an EVO :-). I look forward to MHD putting a 2-step in place, in the meantime I tried a few different things and nothing was great. Next issue is that this track has no cooling station so I couldn't cool the intercooler. I don't think I ever had air charge temps less than 100F even though ambient was only about 70. My tune pulls some load and some timing as the temps go up, which is exactly what I want on the street where things cool quickly once I'm moving but sucked at the track. So I only ran about 20psi on my best runs when I was wanting 25psi. Best times were 12 flats at 120mph :-(. xDelete was set to 70% and sometimes the rears would blaze.

Finally I went for broke on the last run to try to get a better 60' (set xDelete to 100% and got a lot more aggressive on the throttle) and it went well for about half a second and then hopped maybe twice and then I was RWD after that. I would assume I broke it but it drove home just fine with no sounds or behaviors that would have suggested broken parts. What's the best way to diagnose an AWD system that's running RWD only but not making any funny sounds or vibrations? Nothing is showing any codes.

If I had it to do over again I'd try something similar but leave just a bit more slip in the transfer case connection.

Side Note: It was Tesla day at the track. The P100Ds were running 10s@124 and the Performance 3s were running 11s@115. It was a little sad to see a lot of muscle cars getting crushed by them...people forget that they seldom run close to their best time in a muscle car because crap is always going wrong (says the guy who broke his BMW and also couldn't manage to outrun one from a dig). So even the fast guys were getting beaten by the Teslas most of the time. Highway pulls would have been a much different story. But Teslas really did dominate the strip today.
