In light of the current N54 turbo thread of which we're clearly named (including tagging us on Instagram for the first time ever), then making several asinine claims, then (subsequently) removing RB from the Bimmerboost thread.
To those interested in these products:
1) This is clearly just another China project, literally start to finish, dropped shipped on a pallet ready to be re-packaged and shipped to customer. A cast logo doesn't mean quality, China will do this for anyone if you buy a quantity. What you get is a cheap pre-machined and built product that offers nice passive income and low end mass produced quality control, all great for a reseller but not representative of an actual turbo builder. Machining in your own logos, if anything, means you have the ability to machine your OWN parts to meet Quality standards which are unrivaled (ie. there is no shame in buying non-machined "blank" quality castings in order to control the outcome to absolute perfection, but you must have CNC machinery to do this).
2) Make sure you are provided balancing reports! For reference you should see ~0.1g levels to about 170k+rpm on their in-house Chinese VSR.
3) Make sure to get some close up of their diffuser to wheel relationships, this has been historically a huge failure point for VTT, which we so kindly pointed out to them well over a year ago (see link below), and is a reason most every GC related N54 product (v.1.0 and v.2.0) has been basically a scrapped piece from day 1, but shipped to consumers anyway (not sure why there was never a class action?).

The vendor also dismisses the perks of the matched larger (ie. TD04) compressor housings, and insists that using the OE TD03 compressor housings (China replicated) are "sufficient" (this year anyway). Truth be told they are being pushed to the brink at even at sub 600whp levels, and the TD03 compressor housings were never designed for even 200+whp (each). The TD04 compressor housings are even being pushed at 350-400+whp, so this is laughable to suggest at 350-400+whp (each) the TD03 compressor housings are "just as good".
Then, let us not forget, you get the same poor quality wastegates to boot?
An obvious attempt to compare to the best quality controlled no expense or effort spared product the N54 has (or will) ever see (as seen below), but they will never get there when cost savings and passive income is a vendors primary concern:

All of the above aside it is good to see some more progress for the N54 world as there is plenty of room for more offerings to try to compete with the best, but there is nothing here that suggests the Game still isn't Finished... it was and still is with RB.
PS. We do not remove anyone from threads.
Thanks,
Rob
