So I started my car this morning and the car was rattling like there was no tomorrow. I never heard that sound ever on the car, even with the wastegates being loud at times. Sounded like a can was being kicked around the engine bay (I could hear the sound 5 houses down) which is very loud. I figured it was the wastegates acting up for a few minutes. I pulled over and walked back to my house (5-6 houses down) to pick something up. When I get back in the car the sound is not as loud but still louder than normal. When I put the car in drive I have no power sterring. I have to use excessive force to move the sterring wheel to put it back in my driveway. Code that was on AP was P2E97.
My car has been running fine for a long time. I had my power steering replace 10 months ago due to leakage. I checked garage and down the block where I parked the car for 2 minutres and no trace of leakage. I also had my battery replaced 8 months ago due to replacement. What the hell happened?
