More than a hand full of us rolled out last night Aug 9th to the PBIR Street Legends Event by Bizpeed.net https://www.facebook.com/events/119530224884152/

Again the weather was no joke 82° f - 85° f with 65% humidity 1730+ DA pretty much throughout the entire night event.

I have to say though I need to be shot, lol, as I pulled my GoPro out and turn it on I see "No SD Card" FRACK ! haha, left my SD card in my computer from Wednesday night's grudge match with the BMS 335i

Before I begin, I would like to say though out the wonderful experience with PTF, I never received a "revised map"

I received one E40 base starter map for etuning, did my logs and sent it back to them. They made adjustments to uniform my particular setup and then sent me an E50 map :naughty:

I finally loaded the E50 map, sent logs back for verification and got the green light to beat up on this map. Before heading out to PBIR, I decided to jump the gun and add 10% more E85 making my mix E60 to see how my LPFP will handle with the fuel trims.

Just keep in mind I am tuned for E50 not E60....yet ;)

The PBIR event had 40 roll racing and dig racing. However the track had no prep till 9pm and by time I got to it waiting in that LONG line of cars after the DR and slickster cars destroyed the track I basically didn't have much to work with.

Before the dig racing I did two 40 rolls with a FBO upgraded Exhaust PROcede 335is leaving it 2+ cars behind. My temps during these rolls were starting at 130ish and ending in 150ish. This was when the sun was still up and blazing and I had just arrived there not giving the car a chance to rest

So I finally let the car rest for hours and would start it occasionally just to keep the oil temps above 160° till after the track was prepped for dig runs in which I only got the left overs since I was at the back of the line

My first dig run was not all that great, I had to feather launch significantly before I opened up the throttle since I virtually had no grip from the dig and I am running 275 PSS tires

So whats so special about this E50 map ? Well let just take a look at the timing in my logs that I did 117 mph on

Timing in first and second gears were up there but immediately dropped 2 degrees in third and ended at 5 degree timing in fifth gear.

Don't know what happened there but I see this only when using LC for some reason. I am thinking something to do with the all the feathering I was doing to maintain traction ? I could only imagine if I had my full 14 degrees what I would have trapped.

Lets say that's over for digs, made no sense to do more digs with the current condition of the track. So I moved on to roll racing again but this time, guess whos in line with me ? Yup the BMS flash 335is I have been running tug of war with previously.

He was toasting everything out their on the track, no one beat him yet in a roll, he was just a total monster. What difference from the last time we ran is I was now on an E50 map and not the E40 base starter map by PTF.

Seeing that I was inline with him I literally pushed my car with engine off to starting line to save my IATs.

I start up he's ready, we are both nervous, cars begin rolling together side by side, we held 40 till the tree, then we opened up. By time I hit 3 gear I was looking for him to my side but didn't see him, then looked again and I saw his right light in my passenger side view, then he popped up in my rear view mirror 2+ car behind and falling back

Here is the log from that roll:

This was our first and last run on the PBIR track. However it didn't end here. It was an all out brawl now, satisfied with the roll at PBIR, perhaps thinking it was a fluke, war went to Mexico and it was 40-160 shot out.

Same results as on the track, pulled him hard leaving him in my rear view and every post shift he fell back a doors length ending in almost 3 cars length

Here is the BMS flash 335i logs, running more boost with virtually NO TAPPER in the higher end

Thus we have a PTF E50 vs BMS flash E70 map comparison. The BMS flash was pulled so hard in the low end it just could not recover and the 335is just continued creeping away. So does the BMS flash now need meth to go up against a non meth E92 ? The 335is again still running all 4 cats (2 of them highflow) and significantly weighs more, and now an absolete FMIC.

This is just summer weather now, we can only imagine what the results will be when winter rolls in
