Customer in Germany just sent this vid over having fun with a friend of his with a DCT M4 recently going 50-230 km/hr.
135i is full weight including sunroof, DCT M4 is stock and has a passenger. 135i manages to keep up with his 6MT until he shifts and the DCT M4 catches up and edges out in front through the 6MT shift.
135i is running our road course map for German pump gas. For road courses such as the Nurburgring we have a different approach to tuning the N54 in terms of VANOS, boost, timing and fuel. Boost is lowered from our typical street maps hitting only 15psi@5300rpm tapering to 12psi at 5800rpm and up. Due to the differences in VANOS, timing and fuel the cars make power a little differently with heat managed much better instead of turbos heating things up.
M4s as we all know runs more boost than this road course tuned 135i. Power mods on the 135i outside the drop-in filter include just an intercooler and 3" downpipes.
Both cars have quite a bit more left in them. On the M4 the DCT tranny is a beast, S55 motor has tons of potential and the turbos flow more than the OEM N54 turbos.
Thought it'd be interesting to share with all the S55 stuff happening now especially since the 135i is 6MT and tuned relatively conservatively with just basic boltons, not even FBO and no E85, race gas or meth ;)
