Hey there,
I just wanted to get some other people's opinions on getting an aluminum flywheel with the PTF/SPEC twin disc clutch.
I don't daily drive the car much anymore so it's mostly used for a weekend car or track duties (drag racing, drifting, circuit racing, motorkhana etc). I get that it will probably rattle like a $#@! but it's probably something I can live with since I won't be dailying it. I'd like to get the most performance out of the car as possible but obviously don't want the car to be horrible to drive on the street. I have a pretty decent tolerance for "race car" like noises as when I was dailying the car before I was running a straight through CP-E setup which droned like a $#@! and also have rose joints/rod-end bearings for the rear struts which rattle over every slight uneven surface.
Mainly wondering if people have had experience with this setup or similar and if I'm really going to have to rev the $#@! out of it to take off everytime. If I do get some drag slicks eventually, will it suck at the drag strip? Lastly, will it require a lot of "double clutching" in order to shift smoothly or is it not that bad?
Cheers!
